Current Work

For the last few years I have been working as a graduate student working on a dual thesis at Case Western Reserve University for the Liquid Crystals and Complex Fluids Group under the supervision of Dr. Charles Rosenblatt, and at Université Pierre et Marie Curie for the Chemical Physics and Dynamic of Surfaces Group under the supervision of Dr. Emmanuelle Lacaze.

While in these two groups the focus of my work has been on the subject of Liquid Crystals (LCs), materials that exhibit states of matter that are between that of liquids and solids, and their interactions with surfaces and nanostructures. Due to their interesting properties, these molecules are ideal for a variety of applications and scientific research.
